Freeride Motocross

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Freeride is much better known in the U.S. and Australia, and places with sand dunes as the Middle East region.

A slightly different form it consists of not only jump and do tricks in freestyle, but this practice is nice to run fast, jump, jump bigt! That's right, jumps are not simple as in the freestyle or motocross, 10 to23m. A freerider jump up to about 70m away with his bike and in 4 or 5th gear to achieve the required distance.

Another important factor is that there are no ready-made ramps, jumps are made on slopes of dunes, mounds of earth, it all depends on where you are ... as much an adjustment is made on the hill to help launch the bike into the air. Even this method has also participated in a "reality show" produced by Channel RUSH TV,called FMX RIOT.

Well give here a good video of freeride and enjoy this thrill.

And soon an interview with a freerider from Israel (Joy Fey Tim), stay tuned...

Todd Potter is... Episode 6th

Sexto episódio do reality "Todd Potter is..."

Enjoy!

Sixth episode of the show "Todd Potter is ..."
In this episode Potter competes in the ASA Tour (Action Sports Tour) in the final.
Todd explains that he wants to ride more in FMX competitions rather than the X Games, and this list includes: X Fighters, ASA Tour, Dew Tour and others. And after a time out of many competitions, he still feels a little nervous in those 10 minutes of anxiety before his run!
Also talks about the importance of breathing during a run on a track with many jumps. Holding the air at one point "a", releasing, and holding again at another point "b" is sometimes not as effective as learning to breathe better between a bigger jump until the another and so on.
He also says to be at least on the podiums of major championships again, because he has everything for this to work: supporting sponsors, a perfect track, friends to train together, and all the necessary equipment.
Depicts the fact that even with low prices on the championships, it's always good to go and run, since their sponsors pays them to do this, and, as he was told before: "You have a very small chance to be a millionaire on this sport" (If it's tough to earn some money over there in the U.S. could you imagine us down here at Brazil?!)
In the championship, Potter ends up in 3rd place, behind Rob Adelberg (2nd) and Taka Higashino (1st). Potter made a small mistake, wich helped him not to get a better place on the podium, that was a slip of his hand in a sequence on the second to the last dirt jump.
Over the past years, Potter (re)learned many things and he's feeling more comfortable back on the biggest championships and always wanting to be better and better.

Enjoy!
