Night of the Jumps - Gdansk Highlights

No final de semana passado rolou mais uma etapa do mundial de motocross freestyle, popularmente conhecido como NOTJ.

O Night of the Jumps que rolou na Polônia, mais precisamente na cidade de Gdansk ficou de fora no ano passado, mas neste ano surpreendeu com casa cheia e torcedores fanáticos.

David Rinaldo que vinha fazendo boas apresentações não perdoou nesta rodada e levou o pódio mais alto.

Hoje tivemos mais uma etapa do mundial de motocross freestyle, o Night of the Jumps.

O qualify foi alucinante com apresentações dignas de um campeonato mundial. O Ergo Arena na Polônia ficou com a casa cheia como era de se esperar e a multidão foi a loucura com os saltos incríveis dos competidores.

FIM Freestyle of Nations - Novo campeonato.

 

A FIM e a Sport Plus tem o prazer de anunciar a criação do FIM Freestyle of Nations em 2014.

Pela primeira vez na história do freestyle motocross (FMX), os pilotos top do Night of the Jumps e os  pilotos do campeonato mundial da FIM unirão rank e times com suas bandeiras para a conquista da "Coroa do reestyle".

O campeonato não estará restrito a apenas o motocross freestyle, mas também "Maxxis Highest Air", "Whips", "Best Trick", "Race and Style", etc.

O ganhador será o time que tiver a maior pontuação depois de concluidas todas as provas. A natureza do evento irá garantir altas performances dos pilotos, que estarão anciosos por defender as cores de seus países.

A primeira edição está programada para o dia 31 de maio de 2014,em Gelsenkirchen (ALE), na arena Schalke.

O presidente da FIM, Sr. Vito Ippolito comentou sobre a nova competição: " Assim como Motocross e o Trial, Freestyle Motocross terá o Natios. Por experiência, eu sei que este tipo de competição sempre trás o melhors dos pilotos. Veremos uma excelente performance no FIM Freestyle of Nations!"

O diretor da Sport Plus, Sr. Jörg Hotzel acrescentou: " Como produtor do Night of the Jumps / FIM Freestyle MX World Championship, estamos de olho em levar o FMX a um próximo nível. Com o FIM Freestyle of Nations, juntos com a FIM e suas federações, iremosinovar neste esporte maravilhoso e exigente."

The FIM and Sport Plus are delighted to announce the creation of the FIM FreeStyle of Nations as of 2014.

For the first time ever in FreeStyle Motocross history, the top riders of the “Night of the Jumps”, the official FIM FreeStyle Motocross World Championship, will join ranks and team up under their national flags to conquer the “FreeStyle Crown”.

The FIM FreeStyle of Nations will not be restricted to FreeStyle Motocross runs only, but may also include such contests as the “Maxxis Highest Air”, “Whips”, “Best Trick”, “Race and Style”, etc.

The winner of the FIM FreeStyle of Nations will be the team that has scored the most points after all runs and contests have been concluded. The nature of the event will guarantee top sports performances from riders who will be eager to defend their countries’ colours.

The first ever edition of the FIM FreeStyle of Nations is scheduled to take place in the Schalke Arena in Gelsenkirchen (Germany) on 31 May 2014.

FIM President Mr Vito Ippolito said of the new contest: “Just like Motocross and Trials, FreeStyle Motocross will now have its “Nations” event. From experience, I know that this type of competition always brings out the best in the riders. We will be seeing top class sport at the FIM FreeStyle of Nations!”

SportPlus Director Mr Joerg Hotzel added: “As long term producers of the “Nights of the Jumps / FIM Freestyle MX World Championship”, we are looking forward to taking Freestyle Motocross to the next level. With the FIM FreeStyle of Nations, together with the FIM and its Federations, we are breaking ground in this demanding and spectacular sport!”

Nós conversamos com Oliver Franke, fundador da agência Berlinieros (ALE) e criador do FMX Awards. Oliver trabalha com vários pilotos e para o Night of the Jumps. Veja como foi nossa conversa e deixe seus comentários.

Freestyle TZ - Por que você escrever sobre FMX?
Oliver Franke - Ele veio por conta do meu trabalho para o Night of the Jumps, como assistente de imprensa.


FTZ - Você faz a assessoria de imprensa para o NOTJ, o que isso mudou na sua vida e por que?
OF - O que mais mudou foi viajar bastante. Mas o esporte e os atletas me animaram muito, então eu trouxe toda a minha experiência da industria do entretenimento e criei a Berlinieros Sport Agency.

FTZ - Nos diga qual foi o momento inesquecível em sua vida dentro dos esportes.
OF - Claro que são momentos de atletas que gerencio. Como a primeira vitória de um atleta nosso durante o Night of the Jumps. Este foi Steve Mini na Namibia/Africa. Ou Luc Ackermanns, recordista mundial sendo o mais novo a dar um backflip (NIGHT of the JUMPs Cologne 2010). E o primeiro double backflip no NIGHT of the JUMPs com Scott Murray (Ostrava/CZE). O recorde mundial no step up por Alastair Sayer (Ostrave 2010). Ou ainda o primeiro pódio de Hannes Ackermann no NIGHT of the JUMPs em Linz/AUS neste ano. Todos bons momentos. Tenho a certeza de que com o primeiro backflip feminino com Emma McFerram em Berlim será mais um destes momentos.

FTZ - O que é a Berlinieros?
OF - Minha empresa Berlinieros tem duas divisões. Uma delas é a agência de relações públicas para empresas do entretenimento (como o NOTJ), hotéis e marcas esportivas. A segunda divisão, a Berlinieros Sport Agency, cuida do agenciamento de atletas dos esportes radicais como Hannes Ackermann e Luc Ackerman (global), Emma McFerran (Europa), Steve Mini (Europa), Marcelo Simoes (Europa), Scott Murray (Europa), o dublê alemão Stephan Guenther etc.

OF - Como nós temos várias premiações voltadas a música e filme, pensei que deveríamos ter uma pro freestyle motocross (FMX). Então nasceu a ideia. Conversei com muitas pessoas para colocar alguns especialistas. Estes especialistas de vários países votam nos pilotos para criam uma lista de 5 nomiações pra cada categoria. Freestyle TZ - Why do you choose write about FMX?
Oliver Franke - It came over my work for the NIGHT of the JUMPs series as press agent.

FTZ - You make the press for NOTJ, what did that change into your life, and why?
OF - The main part is much more travelling. But the sport and the athletes excited me, so I brought in my whole experience from the entertainment industry and founded Berlinieros Sport agency.

FTZ - Say for us an impressive moment in your life with the sport.
OF - Of course these are moments with the athletes I’m managing. Like 1st victory of a Berlinieros Sports Athlete in the NIGHT of the JUMPs series. This was Steve Mini in Namibia/Africa. Or Luc Ackermanns World Record of the youngest backflip on a motorcycle (NIGHT of the JUMPs Cologne 2010). And 1st double backflip at the NIGHT of the JUMPs series by Scott Murray (Ostrava/CZE). World record in step up of Alastair Sayer (Ostrave 2010). Or the first podium of Hannes Ackermann at the NIGHT of the JUMPs Linz this year. All very emotional moments. I am sure first female backlip of Emma in Berlin this March will be also one of these impressive moments.

FTZ - What is Berlinieros?
OF - My company Berlinieros has 2 divisions. One is the Public Relations agency, where we work for entertainment companies, hotels and sport brands e.g. The NIGHT of the JUMPs series. 2nd division is Berlinieros Sports Agency. Here we manage extreme sports athletes like FMX pros Hannes Ackermann and Luc Ackerman (global), Emma McFerran (Europe), Steve Mini (Europe), Marcelo Simoes (Europe), Scott Murray (Europe), german stunt rider Stephan Guenther etc.

FTZ - FMX Awards, tell more about it...
OF - As we do have a lot of awards in the music and film industry, I thought we should have an Award in Freestyle Motocross. So the idea was born. I spoke with a lot of people to put together some experts. These experts FMX experts from several countries vote to create a shortlist of max. five nominations in each category. Afterwards every user of the fmxawards.com-Website votes the Award winners. So it's a user voting.

Night of the Jumps: 3rd Round

Mais um dia fantástico em Berlim, o Night of the jumps levou o público a loucura em mais um dia de festa.

Massimo Bianconcini mais uma vez levou o título no Step Up batendo a marca de 8 metros. Mas a noite foi mesmo de David Rinaldo, o francês bateu todos ontem com uma volta perfeita e grandes manobras.

Remi Bizouard ficou em segundo mas voltou ao topo da lista na classificação geral. Libor Podmol ficou em terceiro. A disputa foi apertada fazendo os juízes ficarem muito atentos a pequenas falhas.

 A próxima etapa agora serpa em 23 de março em Gdansk na Polonia.

NIght of the Jumps: O2 Arena Berlim 1st round

Sexta tivemos mais um grande espetáculo, o Night of the Jumps retornou após uma semana direto para Berlim. Sua primeira de duas etapas foi fantástica! Confiram os melhores momentos no video abaixo.

Realmente um show a parte, com disputa de Best Trick entre dois mountainbikers versus dois Fmxriders. Após um front flip de Pavel Alekhin que foi superado por um tandem backflip de Petr Pilat. Outro grande show foi o primeiro backflip feminino feito por Emma McFerran, durante um Night of the Jumps.

Massimo Bianconcini também mostrou o porque é o atual recordista mundial do Step Up, vencendo a categoria.

Night of the Jumps 2012 - Torino

E o ano começará com tudo... Está de volta o campeonato mundial de motocross freestyle. O Night of the Jumps 2012.

Hoje mesmo teremos um grande espetáculo do Night of the Jumps às 23hs (horário da Alemanha), portanto aos fãs do esporte no Brasil conectem seus computadores na internet e fiquem ligados para a transmissão ao vivo diretamente do Palaolimpico em Torino via live stream, que ocorrerá às 17hs horário de Brasília.

A edição de Torino contará com a presença dos já renomados Remi Bizouard, Libor Podmol, José Miralles, Massimo Bianconcini, Javier Villegas (atual campeão do mundo), Maikel Melero (novat d ano de 2011), Clinton Moore (que promete novas manobras e seu "volt" body varial), David Rinaldo e Hannes Ackermann. Josh Sheehan Interview

Conversamos com o piloto australiano de FMX Josh Sheehan, que foi um dos grandes nomes de 2012. Sheehan venceu quatro etapas das cinco etapas que participou no Night of the Jumps 2011, ganhou a medalha de bronze no Best Trick dos  X Games com o double backflip.

E também venceu a etapa do Red Bull X-Fighters 2011 - Sydney, onde executou uma execelente volta na final com direito a seu primeiro double backflip dentro de uma volta, um mini flip (que só Travis Pastrana havia feito). Deixando Levi Sherwood para o segundo lugar.

Bem confiram nosso papo com o mestre australiano e deixem seus comentários ao final.

1) O que pensa a respeito do seu ano de 2011?

O ano de 2011 foi muito bom para mim. Poderia ter terminado o ano com uma operação, mas eu melhorei tanto que agora é me preparar para 2012.

2) Quando você executou o double backflip, o que você pensou que mudou em sua vida?

Executar o Double backflip me abriu algumas portas, como no X Games e no Red Bull X-Fighters. Com certeza esta manobra mudou a minha vida e ajudou o meu ano a ser tão bem produtivo.

3) Sobre seu treino, o que você faz? Algo em especial?

Meu treino consiste em correr ou pedalar se não puder correr. Eu também puxo alguns pesos e salto muito. Eu tento misturar as coisas fazendo um pouco de boxes ou jogando futebol com a equipe local.

4) Devido a seu ombro, teve que largar o Night of The Jumps... O que podemos esperar para 2012?

2012 começará lento para mim, porém estarei pronto em abril para o X-Fighters. Estou treinando para ficar forte e apto para um grande ano pela frente. Felizmente tenho tempo para voltar alguns Night of the Jumps, eles são sempre eventos divertidos.

5) Está treinando alguma nova manobra?

No momento estou apenas treinando para voltar ao que era antes, mas treinarei algo mais tarde para tentar o X Games novamente.

6) Poderia nos dizer mais sobre os pilotos australianos? Ouvi dizer que os novatos são loucos, isso é
verdade?

Muitos jovens pilotos australianos estão fazendo grandes manobras. Eles estão muito motivados, por isso alguns estão fazendo alguns truques malucos.

7) O que recomenda para a segurança?

Comece devagar, por etapas. Tudo leva tempo para aprender então pense no que está fazendo e persista. Continue tentando. Fortaleça o corpo também, isso ajuda nos acidentes. Um corpo forte é mais difícil de quebrar.

We talked with the Australian FMX rider Josh Sheehan, who was one of the greats of 2012. Sheehan won four stages of the five steps attended in Night of the Jumps 2011, won the bronze medal in X Games Best Trick with the double backflip.

It also won the stage of the Red Bull X-Fighters 2011 - Sydney, where he performed an excelent round in the final, complete his first double backflip into a round and a mini flip (only Travis Pastrana had done). Leaving Levi Sherwood for second place.

Well conferring our chat with the master Australian and leave your comments at the end.

1) What do you think about your 2011?

My 2011 was a great year for me. It might have ended with an operation, but I improved so much and got so far which set me up nicely for 2012.

2) When you make the double, what do you think change for your life?

Doing the double flip opened up some doors for me with X Games and X-Fighters. So it definitely changed my life and helped my year become so successful.

3) About your training, what do you do? Something special?

For training I do a lot of running or cycling if I can’t run. I do some weights and lots of riding. I try to mix things up by doing some boxing or some football training with the local team.

4) Because for your shoulder you stop the Night of the Jumps... What could we expect for 2012?

Well my 2012 is a little slow to start, but I will be ready for X-Fighters in April. I am training now to be strong and fit for a big year ahead. Hopefully I have time to get back to some Night of the Jumps. They are always fun events.

5) Are you training a new trick?

At the moment I’m just working on getting back to 100% But I will work on some things later to try for X Games again.

6) Could you tell more about australian riders? I heard the younger are crazy, is true?

Lots of young australian riders are coming out with big tricks. They are very motivated so some are trying some crazy things!

7) About safety what do you recommend?

Take things in steps. Everything takes time to learn so think about what you are doing and persist with it. Keep trying. Also to strengthen the body helps you in crashes. A strong body is harder to break
