1) O que tem achado de ser um colunista para o Freestyle TZ?Tem sido muito legal pra mim. De uns bons anos pra cá eu me atualizo todos os dias sobre notícias de FMX do mundo inteiro, e sempre quis fazer um lance de colunista ou até mesmo criar um blog com notícias e matérias sobre FMX, e tendo contato e amizade com praticamente todos os pilotos de fmx nacionais, rolaria muitas coisas legais; daí o Aécio (CEO do Freestyle-TZ) me ofereceu essa oportunidade ser colunista, e eu não pensei 2 vezes! Tenho que admitir que ainda não estou 100%, me falta tempo para fazer mais matérias, mas, dentro do possível, estou fazendo algumas matérias.
2) Quais são suas expectativas?
TENTAR DOMINAR O MUNDO! (risos) brincadeira! Eu espero crescer mais e mais nesse meio, sempre almejando ser reconhecido pelo meu trabalho!
3) O que mudou para você, se é que mudou sendo um colunista?
Na verdade não tive mudanças tão grandes assim, pois como disse antes, eu sempre me mantive informado sobre tudo no FMX, mas nunca passava essas informações adiante em formato de notícia pra ninguém, ao não ser conversas com amigos. A única diferença agora, é que o que eu vejo, eu repasso pra todos os leitores do melhor blog de FREESTYLE nacional! FREESTYLE-TZ! (risos)
4) O que tem achado da cena nacional e no que ela poderia melhorar?
Mais patrocínios, e os já existentes, mais incentivo, apoio, e comprometimento; e um dos que eu acho mais importantes: Mídia; não vamos ficar focados 110% em futebol. A televisão e outros tipos de mídia deveriam mostrar mais, muito mais de esportes radicais.
Patrocinadores nacionais não dão o apoio necessário aos pilotos. O esporte é caríssimo aqui, motos são caras, peças são caras, gasolina tem que ser especial e por aí vai... Não é por qualquer merreca por mês que pagam, que um atleta vai conseguir crescer tanto quanto o esperado. Infelizmente aqui no Brasil, os esportes que precisam de 1 bola são muito bem pagos, profissionalmente; e os que
precisam de 2, (risos) não são reconhecidos e apoiados como deveriam, as vezes, o público nem sabe que existe! É complicado.
5) Além do blog, você trabalha em outro lugar e/ou estuda?
Sou estudante de Publicidade e Propaganda, e de dia, dou aulas de inglês. No FMX eu trabalho para o piloto Marcelo Simões.
6) Qual o seu filme preferido de FMX? E por quê?
Essa é difícil. Mas vou ter que falar Crusty Demons; cresci assistindo-os, e até hoje os assisto e sinto aquela saudade da época que eu mais gostava do FMX, de 2001~2005 mais ou menos. Acho que naquela época não era tanto um "trabalho" como é hoje, o freestyle daquela época era mais a identidade e um hobbie do piloto. A época era mais naquele estilo "f*-se", as músicas eram mais doidas, as motos inteiras pretas com os paralamas cortados, e, principalmente, 2 tempos predominava! (risos) Acho que é por isso que eu gosto tanto dos filmes Crusty Demons. Não deixando de citar também Total Chaos, Nitro Circus, On the Pipe etc...

Obrigado você por me ceder esse espaço para uma matéria sobre mim! Gostaria de agradecer principalmente aos meus pais, que são meus verdadeiros patrocinadores em todas as viagens que faço para eventos e campeonatos Brasil afora (risos), à Deus que sempre foi muito bom pra mim, que realizou esse sonho meu de um dia poder estar entre os meus ídolos, e hoje, meus amigos e trabalhar nessa área. Um agradecimento bem grande ao Simão, que sempre está me aturando pra lá e pra cá, que me deu várias oportunidades e é sempre um ótimo amigo. 1) What do you think of being a columnist for the Freestyle TZ blog?
It has been very good to me. There's been some years that I update myself everyday on news of the world's FMX scene, and always wanted to be columnist or even create a blog with news and cool stuff about FMX, and having contact and friendship with almost all of the brazilian riders there'd be many cool things, then Aécio (Freestyle-TZ's owner) offered me this opportunity to be a columnist, and I didn't think twice! I have to admit I'm still not 100%, I don't have enough time to do a lot of stuff, but as far as possible, I'm making some!
2) What are your expectations?
TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! (Laughs) just kidding! I hope to grow more and more in the sport, always aiming to be recognized for my work!
3) What have changed for you, if it has changed, to be a columnist?
Actually I didn't have big changes, because as I said before, I always kept informed about everything in FMX, but never passed that information along in the form of news to anyone, I just talked about it with friends. The only difference now is that what I know, I pass to all the readers of the best national blog of FREESTYLE! FREESTYLE-TZ! (Laughs)
4) What do you think of the national scene and what it could improve?
More sponsorships, and the ones wich already exists, more incentive, support, and commitment, and one of the most important for me: Media, it's wrong to be 110% focused on soccer.Television and other kinds of media should show more, much more action sports. National sponsors don't provide the necessary support to the riders. The sport is so much expensive here, bikes are expensive, parts are expensive, gasoline has to be special, and so on... It is not by a few bucks per month that an athlete will be able to grow as much as expected. Unfortunately here in Brazil, the sports that require one ball are highly paid, professionally, and those that requires two balls, (laughs) are not recognized and supported as they should, and sometimes, the public does not even know it exists! It's complicated.
5) In addition to blogging, do you work in another place and /or study?
I am a student of Publicity and Advertising, and daytime, I a english teacher. In FMX, I work for the rider Marcelo Simões.
6) What is your favorite FMX film? Why?
That's a tough one! But I have to say Crusty Demons; I grew up watching it, and still watch them and feel that nostalgia of the time I most enjoyed in the sport wich was 2001~2005 or so. I think at that time the sport wasn't so much a "work" as it is today, the freestyle that time was more a hobby and the identity of the rider. The style was more "whatever, f*ck off" and the songs were way sicker, the whole bike was black and the plastics were cut, and there was just 2 strokes! I think that's why I like so much Crusty Demons films. There's also amazing ones like Total Chaos, Nitro Circus, On the Pipe etc...

Thank you for giving me this space to a interview about me! I would like to thank especially my parents, who are my true supporters in all the traveling I do for events and championships throughout Brazil (laughs), also God who has always been very good to me, that I realized my dream of one day being able to be with my idols, and today, my friends and work in this area.
